Looking for support? You’re at the right place! We know how important having the support YOU need and want is during the anal cancer experience. Major frustrations for anal cancer thrivers include not having access to quality and relevant support services and feeling isolated often due to the difficult stigma associated with the disease. Consequently, many anal cancer thrivers face obstacles connecting to other people with similar diagnoses and treatments. Here are some resources to help tackle these problems. If there is something that you have found useful, but is not listed below, please share it with us.
Peer to Peer Support Program
Connecting with others in the community to address questions and concerns is one of the easiest ways to gain knowledge and information throughout your anal cancer experience. The Foundation offers a unique one-on-one peer experience to support anal cancer thrivers (our word for survivors) and caregivers. We match volunteer thrivers and caregivers with those facing a similar experience in order to provide community members with insight and personal perspective on what to expect and how to manage the side effects.
