Anal Cancer Awareness Day: March 21st
It's time to Talk, Share and Raise Awareness
Anal Cancer Awareness Day is the official day to raise awareness of anal cancer around the world. Our objective is to shine the light on anal cancer thrivers (our name for people that have gone through treatment) and educate the broader community about anal cancer. On this day, people all over the world show their support for people living with and recovering from anal cancer.
Anal Cancer Awareness Day is a global movement to:
- Raise awareness about anal cancer and its symptoms
- Encourage conversations to break the stigma
- Support those affected and ensure that no one faces anal cancer alone
On Anal Cancer Awareness Day, Celebrate Yourself, Celebrate Community!
- Celebrate Yourself! Take a moment to honor your experience and everything you have already overcome. Do something that is meaningful for YOU!
- Share Your Story. Share your journey with the community to empower yourself, comfort others, and help save lives.
- Become a peer mentor or request support through ACF's Peer-to-Peer Support Program. Becoming a mentor or mentee allows you to receive or provide the emotional and social support unique to our community.

Workshop: a healing journey through writing for those affected by anal cancer
Tuesday, March 17 2025: 1:30pm EST/5:30pm gmt
Healing from anal cancer can go beyond physical recovery, it requires your mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you’re looking to unburden your mind, express the feelings in your heart, or strengthen your spirit, this special Anal Cancer Awareness Day 'Write to Release" workshop invites you to embrace the therapeutic power of words and is designed to meet you where you are, allowing you to navigate the emotional complexities of your journey at your own pace, in your own space.
About Jenny
Jenny Ford is an award-winning, bestselling author and the founder of Write to Release, a program that harnesses the power of expressive writing for emotional healing. Having faced her own cancer journey, Jenny understands the deep emotional impact a diagnosis can bring. She believes that while we may not have control over our bodies, we can take charge of our thoughts—and writing is a powerful way to do just that.
Expressive writing has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting healing and self-awareness. Through journaling, individuals can build courage, confidence, strength, gratitude, and resilience, helping them process their emotions and reclaim their voice. Jenny’s mission is to create a safe space for people to express their truth, free from judgment, and find healing through their words.
