Based in New York City and London, our dedicated team is working to fulfill our mission of ending HPV and anal cancer!
Who We Are

Justine Almada
Justine Almada is the Executive Director and co-founder of The HPV and Anal Cancer Foundation. Alongside her siblings, Justine started the organization after their loving and incredible mother died from anal cancer in 2010. Justine has since dedicated her life to ending this disease. She achieves this by raising awareness, advocating for prevention, accelerating treatments, and supporting patients. Prior to this position, Justine served as Chief of Staff to a New York City Council Member. In this capacity, she gained extensive knowledge in public policy and budgetary initiatives. She is a graduate of the Wesleyan University and is a Milken Scholar.

Camille Almada
Camille Almada received her BA from Long Island University’s Global College in 2009. She studied environmental studies and anthropology in Spain, Costa Rica, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, India and Turkey. She started the Foundation with her two siblings Justine and Tristan. She returned to school to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing after being a primary caregiver for her mother. She currently works as a registered nurse at Mount Sinai.

Tristan Almada
Tristan co-founded the Foundation with his two siblings after Paulette, his mother, passed away from Stage IV HPV-related anal cancer in 2010. In 2013, he created the NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV campaign which challenges athletes to push themselves to limits in pursuit of ending HPV, the causal agent of 5% of all cancers. Tristan has done his share of suffering for the cause — rowing across the Mediterranean in 2013 and cycling the Trois Etapes Giro d’Italia and Tour Pro-Am in 2014&2015, and has helped NOMAN raise over $2.5 million in the process. After working as a portfolio manager at Clive Capital in London, UK, Tristan co-founded Taurosso Capital, a commodity derivatives hedge fund. Tristan graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Physics. Paulette was sublime, loving and graceful in even the darkest of moments. Thinking of her helps him remember what really matters!
